to those who are wondering :
it's possible to get fluid use an url with an invalid https certificate. I'm using it right now.

I used safari 3 to "always trust" the certificate (from the show certificate dialog).

At first it didn't work. It gave me a "bad server certificate", and I tried the "always trust" fix, to no avail. Then for some reason (I don't know if I did anything special) the error message changed , and then the "always fix worked and I was crying with joy. ok, almost crying.

Note that certificate are administered in the Keychain Access program, so that may have to do with the solution.

sorry for the fuzzy explanation, but anyway, there is hope on the https/fluid front.

@Lennert - I hope you've already found this but you can change the trust for the certificate on your site in Safari.

Browse to the page that the Fluid SSB is giving you the error for. You will be presented with a certificate panel. If you click on the "Trust" twistie, you can set the system wide trust for this certificate ("Always trust"). This trust will be transferred to Fluid.

Todd,

Thanks for a your hard work on Fluid, it's really great!

I just posted a little fix for Google Reader's script:
http://userscripts.org/scripts/show/23422

It clears the dock badge when all the items are read.

I'm having a hard time getting the badges to show up on my apps. Is there something special about getting them to work?

Is there another app required for them to work? (i.e. Apple Dev Kit, WebKit, etc.) Thanks in advance.

wow, this is great! i'm trying to add in the right call on bloglines, but window.fluid.setDockBadge("10") doesn't seem to have any effect. Any thoughts on what might be wrong?

Hi,

Today I've created a CakePHP helper, so creating notifications in your own CakePHP application becomes a piece of cake. :)

You can download the helper at my website: http://bjornpost.com/text/2008/fluid-helper-for-cakephp/

Enjoy!

Ps.: Fantastic app! (though one little feature request: can you make a function to hide the status bar?)
