APML
APML - Attention Profile Markup Language sounds pretty great. APML is an XML vocabulary (application, actually, to the XML geeks) for describing what consumes a person’s attention.
“APML allows users to share their own personal Attention Profile in much the same way that OPML allows the exchange of reading lists between News Readers. The idea is to compress all forms of Attention Data into a portable file format containing a description of ranked user interests.”
The big boys are joining the APML working group… let’s hope they design something better than OPML (which I still can’t believe ever gained acceptance as is).
