I’m Writing my first Windows app…

…it’s going to be a port of one of my Cocoa apps, and of course I’m using Visual Studio 2005 Pro + .NET + C#.

More details to come later… but I have to say the Windows dev tools and .NET libraries have been a real pleasure to work with so far. I’m making progress more quickly than I expected… and I even skipped reading any tutorials (although I’ve read a bit about C# and tinkered with Mono briefly in the past).

Anyone claiming that Apple has some kind of monopoly on slick, intuitive, even killer developer tools is in denial or smoking crack. Xcode/Cocoa are phenomenal, but I’m finding Visual Studio/.NET to be fantastic as well.

Windows still sucks tho.
