Woah… Java on Intel OS X screams!

A couple of years ago, I made a Java freeware app called iZoom. Although it may look kinda Cocoa-y (kinda), iZoom is a pure Java app. The UI is developed with the Java Swing toolkit (which I still think is nifty), including a bunch of custom UI components that are supposed to look like Cocoa controls.
Being a Java app, iZoom runs on Windows, Linux, and OS X, but has always been a real dog on the Mac. The user experience just sucked. I just ran the app for the first time on my shiny new MacBook… OMFG… Java on Intel OS X is like 10 times freakin’ faster! That’s awesome!
iZoom is, like, almost usable now.
That’s all. ![]()
